35WX7 wire rope is a high-performance compacted strand wire rope. "35W" represents 35 special-shaped strands (usually a Warinton-Silo structure), and "7" means that each strand contains 7 steel wires. The whole is processed by a special compaction process.
Its structural characteristics are small gaps between strands and smooth rope surface, so its wear resistance and structural stability are significantly better than ordinary wire ropes, with higher breaking tension and strong anti-rotation performance.
It is suitable for scenes with strict requirements on strength and wear resistance, such as the main lifting mechanism of large cranes, offshore engineering hoisting, heavy mining equipment traction, etc., and can maintain long-term reliable performance under heavy loads, high-frequency operations and complex environments.
Anti-rotation wire rope(Ungalvanized and Galvanized).
A multi-strand wire rope that produces reduced torque or rotation when loaded. Anti-rotation wire ropes differ from standard wire ropes because their counter-rotating lay design reduces the torque on the wire rope. Anti-rotation wire ropes break and wear differently than those of standard construction wire ropes.
1. Rotation-resistant wire ropes have at least 15 outer strands, with three strands "wrap around the core", little or no tendency to rotate, or transmit little or no torque when guided.
2. The outer layer of the anti-rotation wire rope has at least 10 or more strands, and there are more than two layers of strands
"wrap around the core", which has obvious anti-rotation performance.
3. Anti-rotation wire rope has no more than 9 strands in one outer layer, with two layers of strands around the core and limited anti-rotation performance.
When using anti-rotation wire rope, a safety factor of at least 5.0 should be selected.

The characteristics of 35WX7 wire rope focus on high strength, wear resistance and structural stability, which are specifically manifested as follows:
Unique structural design: It adopts 35 strands of Warinton-Silu (W-type) special-shaped strand structure, each strand contains 7 steel wires, and the compaction process makes the gap between strands extremely small, the rope surface is smooth and dense, the overall structure is more compact, and the deformation resistance is outstanding.
Excellent mechanical properties: The breaking force is significantly higher than that of ordinary structural wire ropes of the same diameter, and the anti-rotation performance is strong. It can reduce the torsion of the rope body during heavy load lifting and improve the operational stability.
Extremely strong wear resistance: The contact area of the compacted steel wire is larger, the force per unit area is smaller, and the high surface smoothness can greatly reduce the friction loss with the pulley and drum, and extend the service life in high-frequency and rough environments.
Adapt to extreme working conditions: It has excellent impact resistance and fatigue resistance, can withstand the erosion of complex environments such as marine salt spray and mining dust, and is suitable for harsh scenes such as large-scale projects and deep-sea operations.
35WX7 wire rope is mainly used in industrial scenarios with heavy loads, high frequencies and complex environments due to its high strength, anti-rotation and wear resistance:
Large lifting equipment: As the main hoisting rope of gantry cranes, floating cranes and tower cranes, its high breaking force and anti-rotation can stably carry thousands of tons of heavy objects, and is suitable for heavy lifting needs of ports and shipyards.
Marine engineering: It is used for anchoring systems and underwater lifting equipment of deep-sea drilling platforms. Its salt spray corrosion resistance and impact resistance can cope with complex marine environments and ensure the safety of platform fixation and heavy object transportation.
Mining and metallurgy: It is suitable for mine hoists and ladle traction devices of metallurgical plants. It can withstand the impact load of ore and high-temperature molten steel, resist dust wear, and reduce downtime losses caused by frequent replacement.
Heavy engineering machinery: In the luffing mechanism of large crawler cranes and all-terrain cranes, its fatigue resistance can meet high-frequency telescopic operations and ensure continuous and efficient operation of the equipment.
Q1: Why is 35WX7 wire rope more expensive than ordinary structures?
A: The cost difference comes from the process and performance: it adopts a 35-strand special-shaped strand design (Warinton-Silu structure), which requires special equipment for precision twisting, and additional compaction process (reducing the gap between strands), making the production process more complicated; at the same time, the material utilization rate is higher (high wire density), and the mechanical properties (strength, wear resistance) are far superior to ordinary wire ropes, so the cost and selling price are higher, which is suitable for scenes with strict performance requirements.
Q3: Is it normal to find that the rope body rotates slightly during use?
A: It needs to be judged in combination with the load: Although 35WX7 has an anti-rotation design, it is not completely rotation-free. Slight rotation under light load is normal; if the rotation is obvious under heavy load (such as heavy objects twisting with the rope body during hoisting), it may be caused by overload or rope fatigue, and it is necessary to stop and check immediately to avoid structural damage caused by excessive twisting.
Q3: Compared with the 18X7 wire rope of the same diameter, what is the difference in replacement cycle?
A: Under the same working conditions, the replacement cycle of 35WX7 is usually extended by 30%-50%: because its compacted structure has stronger wear resistance, more uniform force between strands, and better fatigue resistance, especially in heavy load and high frequency operation, the loss rate is significantly lower than 18X7; but it should be noted that if there are scratches from sharp objects in the use environment (such as the corners of port containers), it is necessary to strengthen inspection to avoid excessive local wear.
