Wire Rope 6x12 is a wire rope structure made of 6 strands twisted around a rope core, each strand containing 12 steel wires. This structure gives the wire rope unique performance characteristics, making it widely used in many fields.
From the perspective of structural characteristics, 6x12 wire rope has good flexibility due to the moderate number of steel wires in the strand. Compared with some wire ropes with fewer steel wires per strand, such as 6x7 structure, it can bend more easily, can be flexibly bypassed around pulleys with smaller diameters or used in environments with limited space, and is suitable for occasions that require frequent bending operations, such as traction ropes for some light lifting equipment and mooring ropes for ships.
In terms of strength performance, although the carrying capacity of a single strand is relatively limited, by reasonably selecting the material and diameter of the steel wire, the 6x12 wire rope still has a certain strength and can meet the requirements of a variety of conventional operations. For example, the use of high-quality high-carbon steel wire can significantly improve its tensile strength after appropriate heat treatment. In general material bundling, towing and other operating scenarios, it can reliably withstand the corresponding pulling force.
Anti-rotation wire rope(Ungalvanized and Galvanized).
A multi-strand wire rope that produces reduced torque or rotation when loaded. Anti-rotation wire ropes differ from standard wire ropes because their counter-rotating lay design reduces the torque on the wire rope. Anti-rotation wire ropes break and wear differently than those of standard construction wire ropes.
1. Rotation-resistant wire ropes have at least 15 outer strands, with three strands "wrap around the core", little or no tendency to rotate, or transmit little or no torque when guided.
2. The outer layer of the anti-rotation wire rope has at least 10 or more strands, and there are more than two layers of strands
"wrap around the core", which has obvious anti-rotation performance.
3. Anti-rotation wire rope has no more than 9 strands in one outer layer, with two layers of strands around the core and limited anti-rotation performance.
When using anti-rotation wire rope, a safety factor of at least 5.0 should be selected.

6x12 wire rope is a typical wire rope with a structure of "6 strands × 12 wires per strand". Its design takes into account flexibility, strength and applicability. The core features are as follows:
The balanced ratio of strands can more easily bypass pulleys or drums with smaller diameters. It is more flexible in scenes with frequent bending and winding (such as small lifting equipment and traction devices), and is not prone to excessive wear due to excessive rigidity.
Moderate torsion resistance is better than that of single strand or asymmetric structure, and is suitable for operations with basic requirements for rotation control (such as light lifting and agricultural traction).
The carrying capacity is suitable for medium and light loads, meeting the needs of small and medium-sized equipment (for example, a 6x12 wire rope with a diameter of 8mm has a breaking force of about 40-50kN), which is suitable for non-heavy load lifting, bundling, towing and other scenes.
The wear and fatigue performance is stable under normal conditions, and the service life is better than that of loose structure wire ropes of the same specifications, especially suitable for intermittent operation scenes.
