Wire Rope 6x24 is a multi-filament wire rope consisting of 6 outer strands with 24 wires per strand, usually twisted around a fiber core (FC) or steel core (IWRC). It has higher flexibility and fatigue resistance than 6x7 or 6x19, suitable for frequent bending and high dynamic loads. The wires are finer and more flexible than 6x7 or 6x19, suitable for pulley and drum systems.
Anti-rotation wire rope(Ungalvanized and Galvanized).
A multi-strand wire rope that produces reduced torque or rotation when loaded. Anti-rotation wire ropes differ from standard wire ropes because their counter-rotating lay design reduces the torque on the wire rope. Anti-rotation wire ropes break and wear differently than those of standard construction wire ropes.
1. Rotation-resistant wire ropes have at least 15 outer strands, with three strands "wrap around the core", little or no tendency to rotate, or transmit little or no torque when guided.
2. The outer layer of the anti-rotation wire rope has at least 10 or more strands, and there are more than two layers of strands
"wrap around the core", which has obvious anti-rotation performance.
3. Anti-rotation wire rope has no more than 9 strands in one outer layer, with two layers of strands around the core and limited anti-rotation performance.
When using anti-rotation wire rope, a safety factor of at least 5.0 should be selected.

6x24 wire rope is a common multi-strand wire rope structure (6 strands, each strand contains 24 wires). Its design focuses on high flexibility, balanced strength and wide applicability. The following are its core features:
1. Outstanding structure and flexibility
High wire count brings excellent flexibility: Compared with structures such as 6x12 and 6x19, it has more wires and a thinner single wire diameter. This design allows it to easily bypass pulleys or drums with smaller diameters, and performs well in scenes with frequent bending and winding (such as elevator traction and precision lifting). The stress distribution during bending is more uniform, and it is not easy to cause local wear or fatigue fracture due to excessive rigidity.
2. Balanced strength and durability
Medium and high load carrying capacity Compared with 6x12, its total wire cross-sectional area is larger and its carrying capacity is stronger, which can meet the continuous operation needs of small and medium-sized lifting equipment.
3. Our wire ropes are fully tested: each batch of products is fully tested for 12 indicators including "breaking force, bending fatigue, torsion times, diameter deviation, appearance defects", etc., and is equipped with a "non-destructive flaw detector" rarely seen in the industry, which can accurately identify hidden defects such as internal broken wires and inclusions, with a factory pass rate of 100%.
First choice for precision and dynamic operations: Due to its good flexibility and smooth operation, it is widely used in scenarios that require precise control, such as:
Traction systems of elevators and escalators (frequent starting, stopping and bending are required);
Auxiliary hooks and luffing mechanisms of cranes (flexible operation under small and medium loads);
Stage machinery and film and television hoisting (lightweight and low-noise operation are required).
Q1: What is the difference between 6x24 and 6x19?
A: 6x24: thinner wire (24 strands/strand), softer, suitable for frequent bending (such as cranes, elevators).
6x19: slightly thicker wire (19 strands/strand), balanced flexibility and wear resistance, suitable for medium-frequency applications (such as winches, cable cars).
Q4: How to calculate the breaking force of 6x24?
A: Formula: Minimum breaking force (KN) ≈ diameter² (mm) × coefficient (0.36~0.45, depending on the material)
Example: 20mm 6x24 wire rope (FC) ≈ 20² × 0.4 = 160 KN (about 16.3 tons)
Q4: How long can 6x24 last?
A: Lifespan depends on:
Frequency of use (high-frequency bending will shorten lifespan).
Maintenance status (regular lubrication can extend the service life by 30%~50%).
Environmental corrosion (galvanizing is required in seawater environment, otherwise the service life will be halved).
