Balanced load, suitable for medium and heavy loads. The lifting chain is made of high-quality alloy structural steel (such as 25CrNiMo), and its diameter is 15%-20% smaller than the VGP series with the same load (the diameter of the 8-ton VGP chain is 12mm, and that of the VG is 10mm). The tensile strength is ≥1000MPa, and the load capacity meets the needs of medium and heavy operations. The gear set is made of 20CrNiMo, and the tooth surface quenching hardness reaches HRC55-58. The gear life is 20% shorter than that of the VGP series, but it is sufficient to cope with conventional medium and heavy load operations (lifting 8 tons of objects 3-5 times a day), and the cost is 15% lower than that of the VGP series.
Handle design, balanced and labor-saving. The handle adopts a combination of solid and hollow design, which is 10% lighter than the VGP series. The length is 550-650mm, and the operating force is 10%-15% lower than the VGP series (8-ton VGP requires 130-160N, VG is 110-140N). The lifting amount of a single pull is 4-6mm, and the efficiency is better than the VGP series in medium-distance operations. The handle grip is made of non-slip rubber material, and the friction coefficient is slightly lower than the VGP series by 5%, but it meets the needs of single or double operation, and reduces hand fatigue during long-term operation.
Reliable braking, medium-load adaptation. Equipped with a dual braking system (ratchet brake + single friction plate brake), the braking torque is 30%-40% lower than the VGP series, and the braking response time is ≤0.1 seconds, which is slightly slower than the VGP series. The brake pads are made of composite wear-resistant materials, with a high temperature resistance of 200°C. After continuous lifting (8 tons of cargo lifted continuously for 15 times), the braking performance decay is ≤8%, which is better than the 3% of the VGP series, and can meet the safety requirements of medium and heavy load operations.
Environmental adaptation, cost optimization. The shell is made of cast steel (ZG270-500), which is 20%-25% lighter than the alloy cast steel shell of the VGP series. The impact resistance is 30% lower than that of the VGP series, but it can cope with conventional operation collisions. The chain surface adopts phosphating + galvanizing double protection, and the salt spray corrosion resistance is up to 900 hours, which is shorter than the 1200 hours of the VGP series. It is suitable for humid and light salt spray environments, and the price is 20%-25% lower than the VGP series with the same load.
Metallurgical auxiliary and medium-sized manufacturing. The auxiliary workshop of the metallurgical plant hoists molds (3-8 tons). The lightweight design of the VG series facilitates flexible movement in the workshop and is more suitable for frequent job changes than the VGP series. In medium-sized machine tool manufacturing, the machine tool columns (5-8 tons) are installed. The balanced load-bearing capacity and ease of operation are combined, and the installation time of each column is shortened by 20 minutes compared with the VGP series.
Medium-sized projects and municipal construction. When repairing urban bridges, medium-sized supports (3-6 tons) are hoisted. The VG series is more flexible in the limited space of the bridge deck and reduces the equipment handling time compared with the VGP series. The municipal sewage treatment plant installs water pumps (4-7 tons). The moisture resistance meets the requirements and the cost is lower than the VGP series. It is suitable for medium-sized projects with limited budgets.
Medium-sized ship component maintenance. When repairing ship decks, medium-sized hatches (3-5 tons) are hoisted. The weight advantage of the VG series makes it easy to transfer between decks and is more adaptable to ship space restrictions than the VGP series. Inland vessel engine component replacement (5-8 tons), reliable braking system ensures component stability during maintenance, meeting medium component maintenance needs.
Q1: How to choose between VG series and VGP series?
A: If the operation is mainly medium and heavy load (3-8 tons), and the equipment is lightweight and cost-effective, choose VG series; if it is super heavy load (more than 8 tons) and extreme environment operation, top performance is required, choose VGP series. VG series is more cost-effective in conventional medium and heavy operations, while VGP series is suitable for extreme heavy load scenarios.
Q3: Can VG series chain continue to be used if there is a slight crack?
A: No. Even a slight crack will cause the chain's load capacity to drop by more than 30%, and there is a risk of breakage. The original chain of the same specification must be replaced immediately, and after replacement, it must be tested at 1.1 times the rated load to ensure safety before use. The chain should be checked regularly to prevent cracks from expanding.
Q3: What should I pay attention to when using VG series in a humid environment?
A: Clean the moisture on the chain and the housing in time after use, apply anti-rust oil to the chain, wipe the housing dry and store it in a ventilated place. Check the brake system for moisture every month. If the brake fails, disassemble it to clean the moisture and apply desiccant. Avoid soaking in water for a long time, as its protective performance is not enough to cope with continuous underwater environment.
