SL drum clamp is a professional lifting tool designed for cylindrical drums (such as steel drums, plastic drums, fiber drums), with a rated lifting capacity of 1-5 tons, a safety factor of ≥3.5, and is suitable for various types of drums with a diameter of 300-600mm and a height of 500-1200mm. Unlike the "dual use of tube and sheet" of TPH tube-sheet clamp, the SL series focuses on the embracing clamping of the drum, which is automatically tightened by hydraulic or mechanical drive, and the clamping force is adaptively adjusted with the weight of the drum (the clamping force of a 1-ton drum is ≥2.5kN). The main body adopts a combined structure of high-strength aluminum alloy and alloy steel, and is 15%-20% lighter than the TPH with the same load (3-ton SL is about 8kg, TPH is about 10kg), and is widely used in chemical warehousing, food processing, paint production and other scenes that require the transfer of barreled materials, balancing the clamping stability and ease of operation.

Exclusive for rollers, precise clamping. Adopting the "double arc clamp arm + non-slip rubber" design, the arc of the clamp arm fits perfectly with the outer circle of the roller (adapting to 300-600mm diameter), the contact area is 40% larger than the TPH pipe module (3-ton contact area ≥400cm²), the unit pressure is reduced by 30%, and the barrel body is prevented from deformation (especially plastic barrels). The opening angle of the clamp arm is adjustable (60°-120°), which is more suitable for rollers of more specifications than the fixed arc module of TPH. For example, when lifting 500mm and 600mm diameter steel drums at the same time, SL does not need to replace parts, but TPH needs to replace modules.
Drive mode, efficient and labor-saving. The mechanical model uses spring preload + gravity self-tightening (similar to TPH sheet module), and the hydraulic model is equipped with a micro cylinder (3-ton working pressure 8MPa), clamping / loosening time ≤5 seconds (TPH switching module requires 2 minutes), suitable for high-frequency barrel material transfer (such as chemical plant production line). The hydraulic model has an operating force of ≤30N (TPH manual preload requires 80N), which can be easily controlled by female operators.
Single function, specialized roller. Only suitable for cylindrical rollers (excluding plates), but the roller height adaptation range is wide (500-1200mm), which is more suitable for long barrels (such as 1-meter high paint barrels) than TPH's pipe module (focusing on short pipes). The rated lifting capacity is 1-5 tons (TPH is 3-10 tons), but the roller clamping stability is far superior to TPH (tilt angle ≤3°, TPH pipe module is about 5°).
Extremely lightweight, lower cost. The 3-ton mechanical model weighs 8kg (TPH 3-ton 12kg), and the hydraulic model weighs 12kg. One person can carry it for operation; the main body is an aluminum alloy frame + steel plate clamp arm. The price is 20%-30% lower than the TPH with the same load, and 50% lower than the combination of "TPH + drum special clamp", which is suitable for enterprises that mainly use barreled materials.
Chemical and food storage. Chemical plants transfer 200L steel drums (3-5 tons, 580mm diameter). The SL hydraulic clamp arm automatically tightens, the rubber layer is corrosion-resistant (acid and alkali resistant), and 30 barrels can be transferred per hour (TPH requires manual adjustment, and the efficiency is 40% lower); food factories transport plastic barrels (100L, 400mm diameter). The mechanical spring is pre-tightened to avoid barrel extrusion and deformation, which meets food-grade hygiene requirements.
Paint and grease production. The finished barrels (500mm diameter) of the paint factory are transferred from the production line to the warehouse. The SL mechanical model quickly clamps, and the arc of the clamp arm ensures that the barrel is vertical to avoid paint leakage; lubricating oil barrel loading workshop, the hydraulic model is suitable for different specifications of oil barrels (400-600mm diameter), high-frequency operation (500 barrels per day) without failure, TPH is not applicable due to the need to switch modules.
Logistics and barreled freight. Loading and unloading 200L dangerous goods barrels (3 tons) at freight stations. The SL's roll stability (≤3°) ensures transportation safety and is more suitable for long-distance transportation than TPH pipe modules. Barreled water warehouse stacking (300mm diameter, 450mm height). The mechanical lightweight design allows forklift drivers to operate alone, with a stacking accuracy of ±5mm.
Q1: How to choose between tube-sheet clamps and TPH?
A: Choose SL if the operation is mainly barreled materials (≥80%); choose TPH if the operation is mixed with pipes and sheets. For example: SL is used in paint factories, and TPH is used in municipal engineering teams.
