G80 Container Lifting refers to G80-class container lifting equipment or related lifting equipment, which is usually made of high-strength alloy steel. It has high strength and good wear resistance, and there are many types, such as container hooks, swivel hooks, etc. It is often installed at the corners of containers and is used in port loading and unloading, ship transportation and other scenarios to ensure the safety and efficiency of container lifting operations.

Port loading and unloading operations: It is an important accessory of port cranes and can be installed on shore container cranes, tire-type gantry cranes and other equipment. By connecting with the corner pieces of the container, the container can be quickly loaded and unloaded. Common ones are 45-degree left and right hooks and 90-degree straight hooks, which can meet the lifting needs of different angles and facilitate operation in the narrow space of the port. The container can be lifted from the ship to the dock yard, or from the yard to the container truck.
Container transportation: In road and rail container transportation, it is used to load containers onto or unload them from transport vehicles. For example, in the road transfer area of the container terminal, forklifts and other equipment use the G80 container spreader to accurately place the container on the truck to ensure the stability of the container during transportation. It can also be used at railway container stations to transfer containers between train carriages and the ground.
Ship transportation: When loading containers on a ship, the G80 Container Lifting equipment can help lift the containers accurately to the designated location in the cabin. It can also be used to fix the containers during the voyage. By cooperating with lashing chains, the containers can be connected to each other and fixed to the hull to resist external forces such as sea waves, prevent the containers from moving or collapsing, and ensure navigation safety.
Q1: What is it made of?
Generally made of G80 alloy steel, such as high-quality 80-grade alloy steel, containing elements such as manganese and chromium to ensure high strength and durability.
Q3: What types and angles are available?
Common configurations include left-hand 45 degrees, right-hand 45 degrees and straight. The 45-degree hook can be tilted for lifting in a small space, and the straight hook is suitable for direct vertical lifting.
Q3: What is the safety factor?
Usually the safety factor is 4:1, that is, the breaking load is at least 4 times the rated working load. Some products will be individually verified tested at 2.5 times the working load limit.
Q3: How to install and use it correctly?
For container lifting ears, each lifting ear needs to be inserted from above into the four openings of the cam lock on the top of the container, press the safety angle upward, then rotate the lifting ear 90° in any direction, and fully press the safety pin to ensure that the load is connected correctly to prevent the lifting ear from rotating and unlocking. After use, lift the safety pin to unlock the lifting lug, rotate it 90°, and then pull it out from the corner hole of the container.
Q3: What inspections are required before use?
Check whether the product surface is smooth, whether there are defects such as cracks, scratches, sharp angles, etc., ensure that the connection parts are firm, and for products with safety pins or safety tongues, confirm that they function normally.
Q3: How often maintenance and inspection are required?
It is recommended to conduct regular inspections based on the frequency of use and working environment, generally at least once every six months. If used under harsh working conditions, the number of inspections needs to be increased. Dirt and debris should be cleaned up in time after use, and storage in a humid or corrosive environment should be avoided.
