Pipe Turnbuckle with Jaw & Jaw is a tension adjustment device with a tubular adjustment body as the core and claw-type connectors (Jaw) at both ends. Claw-type connection, strong adaptability: The claw-type connectors (Jaw) at both ends adopt a fork-shaped design. After being connected by a pin, they can be flexibly rotated around the pin (angle range ±30°), which can compensate for installation errors or slight displacement of components. It is more adaptable to dynamic force scenarios (such as equipment traction in a vibrating environment) than fixed-angle connections.
Tubular structure, balance of strength and lightness: The wall thickness of the tubular adjustment body is uniform (20% thinner than the solid sleeve of the same specification), but due to the mechanical advantages of the steel tube ring structure, the torsional strength is 15% higher than the solid body, and the overall weight is reduced by 30%, which is suitable for scenes that are sensitive to deadweight (such as suspended structures and high-altitude installations).
Stable adjustment and lateral force resistance: The inner and outer threads of the tube body are left-handed and right-handed respectively, and they are precisely matched with the threaded rods at both ends (gap ≤0.1mm), and there is no jamming during adjustment; the tubular structure has better lateral force resistance than the frame type. When subjected to lateral loads, the deformation is 40% smaller than the frame type, which is suitable for industrial scenes with complex forces.
The material is corrosion-resistant and covers a wide range of scenarios: the thickness of the zinc layer of hot-dip galvanized carbon steel is ≥85μm, and the anti-rust life is 5-7 years in a dry inland environment; the 304 stainless steel model is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and is suitable for outdoor buildings (such as billboard brackets); the 316 stainless steel model contains molybdenum and has excellent salt spray resistance, and the life span can reach more than 10 years in marine and chemical environments.
Easy installation and simple maintenance: The pin shaft hole of the claw-type connector has a grease groove, and no additional oiling is required during installation; the surface of the tubular adjustment body is knurled or hexagonal, and can be operated with a wrench or bare hands. The adjustment efficiency is 25% higher than that of the special-shaped sleeve, and the later maintenance only requires cleaning the thread and adding grease.
Building and steel structure engineering: Adjustment of the diagonal brace tension of steel structure brackets, the claw-type connector cooperates with the bracket ear plate to adapt to the micro-deformation of the structure; in the glass curtain wall support system, it is used to adjust the connection tension between the steel cable and the embedded ear plate, and the 304 stainless steel model can cope with outdoor rain corrosion.

Q1: Do I need to purchase the pin of the claw connector separately? Are there any specifications?
A: Usually, the pin needs to be purchased separately. The pin specifications need to match the aperture of the claw connector (e.g., 16mm aperture corresponds to M16 pin). The material is recommended to be consistent with the turnbuckle (carbon steel with carbon steel pin, stainless steel with stainless steel pin), and the pin strength grade is not less than grade 8.8 (carbon steel) or A4-70 (stainless steel) to ensure the connection strength.
Q3: If the adjustment stroke is not enough, can it be solved by lengthening the threaded rod?
A: Not recommended. Lengthening the threaded rod will increase its cantilever length, reduce its bending resistance by more than 50%, and easily break when stressed; the correct approach is to replace the model with a larger adjustment stroke, or add a transfer ear plate to the system (the overall strength needs to be calculated) to ensure a safety factor of ≥3.5.
Q3: Will the 304 stainless steel model rust when used in coastal areas?
A: In coastal areas with high salt fog (such as within 1 km of the seaside), 304 stainless steel may have local rust (pitting) in 1-2 years, but it does not affect the basic strength; if it needs to be used for a long time (more than 5 years), it is recommended to use 316 stainless steel, which contains molybdenum elements that can significantly improve the resistance to chloride ion corrosion, or regularly (every 6 months) use stainless steel cleaner to maintain 304.
Q3: How to deal with cracks or wear on the claw-type connector?
A: If the crack length is ≤3mm and does not extend to the threaded area, the connector can be scrapped and replaced with accessories of the same specification (the threaded rod and sleeve can be retained); if the wear causes the width of the claw mouth to increase by more than 10% of the original size (such as the original 10mm becomes more than 11mm), or the ovality of the pin shaft hole is greater than 0.5mm, the basket screw must be replaced as a whole and is prohibited from continued use (it may break when subjected to force).
