US Type Malleable Wire Rope Clips are a type of lightweight fastener used for connecting and fixing wire ropes. They consist of a U-shaped clamp seat made of malleable cast iron (such as blackheart malleable cast iron KTH 350-10), a carbon steel U-shaped bolt and a nut. The surface is usually electro-galvanized or hot-dip galvanized to enhance corrosion resistance and is suitable for humid or outdoor environments. Product specifications cover wire rope diameters from 1/16 inches to 1-1/8 inches and comply with US Federal Specification FF-C-450 D (Type 1, Class 2), but stainless steel products may not be subject to this standard. Compared with forged products, malleable cast iron clamps are less expensive, but have weaker strength and toughness, and are only suitable for non-critical light-duty scenarios.
